I will stamp all over 'serious combatant' Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer prepares to battle Jake Paul in an eight-round contest which will be streamed in real-time on the streaming platform.

Briton Anthony Joshua stated he will "dominate completely" Jake Paul and "overpower" his opponent as the pair met personally to promote the upcoming bout.

Ex twice unified boxing king Joshua faces social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a huge mismatch - at Miami arena on 19 December.

Fighter's Mindset

"I'm going to injure his face and break his body up. My goal is to show I'm superior," the British boxer, 35, declared.

"I plan to overwhelm him. That's how fighters think.

"I will genuinely try to hurt him. That's my intention."

Civil Interaction

Despite such comments, a calm Anthony Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - normally recognized for his dramatics - exchanged pleasantries and maintained decorum with each other.

Paul rather attacked former Joshua's opponent Francis Ngannou and called him "not serious" after Ngannou declined a match opportunity.

Targeting Fury

Joshua, at the same time, criticized UK rival Tyson Fury - and declined a million-pound wager 'Tyson Fury' claims he will make on a Paul win.

"[Paul] is superior to Tyson Fury - he's actually sitting here," Joshua said.

"I give him credit for that."

Legitimate Fighter

Despite declaring he will damage his opponent, Anthony Joshua refused to comment unfavorably about his rival's fighting skills.

"Jake Paul is a credible opponent," he said.

Jake Paul's History

Jake Paul - who first rose to fame on the Disney Channel - has mostly fought mixed martial artists or past-their-prime fighters since entering professional boxing.

He was defeated by Briton Fury in 2023.

Financial Success

However, the relative newcomer remains one of the sport's greatest commercial attractions, regularly earning massive earnings.

Forecast and Confidence

The 28 year old forecast a KO victory in round four or five and asserted he would stop the much-anticipated Fury-Joshua bout, which is apparently under discussion for 2026.

"It will be my match with Fury next year," Jake Paul stated.

Physical Difference

As both boxers participated in the customary stare-down, with their size difference clearly visible, it highlighted just how surprising this whole event is - and how astonishing it is that the match is actually proceeding.
