1. Top Player Palmer Fit for Important London Derby with The Gunners

Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca announced on the final weekday that Cole Palmer is available for selection for the squad's important Premier League fixture against local rivals Arsenal.

The young English international was unavailable due to a broken toe incurred after an accidental incident.

“He is available to start and to play,” Maresca commented. “The whole team is delighted.”

In the current campaign, Palmer has been limited to four outings across all competitions, finding the net on two occasions.

After joining from City in 2023, he has recorded 45 scores and 29 helpers in 101 games for Chelsea.

“He is our best player, we are pleased he is back, we need to give him time to be 100% fit,” Maresca added. “His past performances have been excellent and no doubt he is going to do great things for this club in the future.”

2. Everton Get No Explanation for Failed Gueye Red Card Challenge

Everton have failed in their protest against Idrissa Gueye's dismissal for a fight with teammate Michael Keane during the team's narrow win at Manchester United.

The 36-year-old Senegalese midfielder was shown a red card only 13 minutes into the contest after slapping Keane amid a dispute over a misplaced pass.

Gueye quickly said sorry, and the teammates were seen reconciled afterwards in a mock social media video.

However, the challenge against the dismissal was denied, and Gueye must serve a three-game suspension, making Everton depleted for their upcoming fixture against Newcastle.

“We have appealed it and our appeal was turned down,” manager the manager said. “We received no rationale for the denial but we did appeal it.”

Inquired about any further fallout from the incident, Moyes added: “It was over immediately, it was done, that was it, we moved on swiftly and it was all sorted within the team environment.”

Howe added: “We’ve got [a return date] in mind, but it’s probably best if I do not share it publicly. We don’t want to disappoint anyone. Naturally, we want to involve him as soon as possible.”

Additionally, Kieran Trippier will be out of action for a four-week period with a hamstring issue.

The Hammers will welcome back Lucas Paquetá after his ban, while Crysencio Summerville and Dinos Mavropanos are progressing in their recovery from injury.

5. Morgan Gibbs-White Could Feature for Nottingham Forest against Brighton

The club's boss Sean Dyche is hopeful that Morgan Gibbs-White will be fit for the side's at home fixture against Brighton on Sunday.

The England international was absent for Thursday's Europa League match against Malmö due to a back issue.

“We hope it is improving,” Dyche said as he got ready to face Fabian Hürzeler's side, who have taken a decent haul from their last three outings.

“It’s comparable to back pain, but a waking-up sort of injury, one where you just rest awkwardly or move improperly. So we’re not anticipating, at this point anyway, that it’s too serious and it’s easing already. So we’re hopeful that it’ll be right for the weekend.”

The defender was experiencing discomfort in his hamstring after the comfortable Europa League victory, but Dyche said the player “is expected to be okay”.

Meanwhile, the full-back (thigh injury), the midfielder (thigh), the winger (hamstring), the striker (knee), and Oleksandr Zinchenko (hip) are expected to miss out.
